The ice warriors chapter 2

Chapter 2. Haku and The Captain...
Momo's Pov
The creature let out a horrific roar...I could feel how powerful it was...That Ice ninja, Haku had looked terrified at the sight of the beast..and he seemed to be at a pretty high level for a ninja. If he had stayed, then I believe he would have been of great assistance to me...however, I knew that as a soul reaper that it was my job to get souls to the soul society as quickly as possible to prevent them from turning into hollows due to staying in the human world too long.... and It would've probably driven poor Haku mad to stay and find his master...
..I didn't want to tell him this,but lying next to where I'd found his body was his master's body. His master Zabuza had also passed away, not long after he had....and my next assignment was to find Zabuza's plus soul...and send it to the soul society 
I held my Zanpacto more intensely..glaring at the terrifying creature, energy was raidating from it...I could see it was definately living and it could see me, despite the fact I wasn't in a gigai...There was only one thing I knew I could do....I had to try and restrain it, before it could cause any damage to the human world....I knew I could not possibly defeat it..It was ten times stronger than me..I narrowed my eyes in determination..withdrew my sword and started to chant;

"Ruler of the mask of flesh and blood, all things in the universe fly, that that takes all, heat and war, beyond the seas and reverse take step to the south- Hado 31. Shakkaho Red flame cannon!!"
BANG!!! There was a huge explosion...

Haku's POV
I felt coldness underneath me...Not the same type of coldness that I feel from using my ice powers but a cold type of material beneath me.....
I opened my brown eyes....and they widened in shock...I was staring at the sky...It was the same sky I had looked upon when I protected my master, Zabuza against Kakashi's attack...it was dark..very dark...and I felt wetness on my shoulders...no...not exactly wetness...
I knew the feeling..I had felt this sensation many times before....it was snow..and ice....it was hail stoning and snowing...
The weather didn't bother me, as I had traveled around many places with master and I liked snow and ice, being a master of the ice style kekkei genkai of my clan....
Master.....I looked down..Where was master...? Had he defeated Kakashi...and his students...?...and that boy...Naruto....even though he was just a foolish kid like myself, I couldn't help wonder about him....There was something about that guy that I couldn't dislike....I hoped that one day he would fulfill his dreams and become hokage...
I sighed..I sat up and looked at the ground...the cold material I had felt was white tiling...I looked upwards and saw that the tiling went along a pathway.
Where am I... ?....I thought aloud to myself..
"You're in the Soul society..., Young Haku.." a gentle voice  behind me said

Momo's Pov
My attack had hit the creature but there was very little damage...At the same time I had used my Kido attack, the creature had released another purple ball and fired at me, faster than my incantation...and I had only managed to survive through a barrier based spell. "Damn....."...I cursed, whilst trying to get my breath back..I decided I would try to bind it.....It was the only thing...I felt I could do..There was no time for me to say the incantation to this Kido, the creature was advancing towards me, ready to attack
"Bakudo 9.... Horin!!"I yelled.....The familiar orange light with yellow patterns to it appeared from my hands and I managed to wrap part of the light around it's body... and threw it to the ground...
I had managed to hurt it...it yelled out in pain....It was trapped....but not for long....the spell was weaker than it would've been usually due to the fact that I hadn't been able to recite the incantation....I held on to the light for dear life...
Haku's Pov
I turned around to see a tall man wearing a black kimono and a white hatori, sitting behind me. The kimono looked very similar to the one that the female soul reaper wore...Could he be a soul reaper too?, I thought and how did he know my name?.
He had long, white hair, and gentle brown eyes. He looked like a rather weak man..but was rather young looking, despite his white hair..and he was smiling gently at me. I noticed then that the place I had found myself was a rather large oriental garden with a pond noticed then that the weather had cleared up...the sky was light blue and there were clouds in the sky...I must have fallen asleep...
"It's strange..isn't it...?" said the man..."The weather around here has been changeable recently...." he moved to where I was sitting , sat beside me and started throwing food into the pond. He read my puzzled expression..."Oh I like to come here and feed the carp here..." He smiled gently..."It helps me to relax in my free time...and the soothing environment helps my illness"
"Oh...I'm sorry...." I looked down...I wondered what this guy's illness was...but I didn't dare ask in case I upset him..
He smiled.."Don't be...I'm used to it...." he turned to me..."So Haku...you're probably wondering who I am and where you are then..?"
I looked down...The last thing I could remember was that soul reaper stabbing me with her sword..."You said this place was the soul society..Is this place where souls pass on to?....a female soul reaper told me..."
He smiled gently "That's right..so Momo told you about it, I suppose she didn't get a lot of time to tell you about this place...."
He was right..she seemed to be hurrying when she told me about the soul society, I got the feeling that she was indicating that if I didn't go there as soon as possible, something bad would happen...
I nodded...."She did tell me that there's something here called the Thirteen Guard Squads"
"I see...I'll tell you all about it then... Haku, Oh and by the way, My name's Jushiro Ukitake...and I'm the captain of squad 13...and it's a pleasure to meet you...I've a great deal about you...." he smiled, pulled out his hand and we shook hands...
So he was a captain....wow.....he must've been jonin or at least hokage level then....and despite his rank, he seemed to be a very down to earth person...and he suffered an illness...and yet he never let it get to him.. wow..
"Now then..."He said sternly, looking up to the sky..."where should I begin...?"
Momo's POV
The creature had unimaginable strength...It had easily managed to pull itself free from my Horin..and was launching shock-waves with only it's tail, which I just managed to dodge at the last second...however, my energy to battle was running out..I was sweating in exhaustion.. the battle hadn't been long so far...and I was already tired.....that wasn't like me at all.... What should I do?..I thought to myself..I was running out of options...
The beast suddenly created a flood of water...I had to leap in the air to dodge it....but the water surrounded me...and trapped me....I slashed through it, using my Zanpakuto...I was caught in it again, and it bashed me against the ground...I was bleeding all over......this was it..I thought to myself...no one was going to save me...I was going to die..
...NO!..I couldn't give up!....I pushed myself off the ground, slowly....I had to protect the human world...I promised I would.....I stood up and swayed on my feet...Another giant purple ball was headed my way..I knew then..that this was the end.....The ground beneath me began to shake.....it had created an earthquake.....
"Shakkaho Red flame cannon!!"I cried in desperation, a red light firing from my hand..BANG...I closed my eyes.......I could see no more...
BANG...What the.....?....I thought to myself...
